Dr Clark holds consultant positions in Head and Neck Surgery at Royal Prince Alfred and Liverpool Hospitals. He directs the international fellowship program and clinical research at the Sydney Head and Neck Cancer Institute, and is the head of the department of Head and Neck Surgery at Liverpool Hospital. He is actively involved in research, particularly in the field of metastatic skin cancer and coordinates multiple prospective trials.  

Dr Clark’s medical training took place at the University of NSW and he trained as a general surgeon before undertaking Head and Neck surgical training at St. Vincent’s, Royal Prince Alfred and Westmead Hospitals in Sydney. He undertook a two-year fellowship in Head and Neck oncologic and reconstructive surgery at the University Health Network, Toronto Canada as part of the American Head and Neck Society advanced oncologic training program. He completed a Masters of Biostatistics at the University of Sydney in 2012. 

Dr Clark’s clinical focus is on surgery for advanced skin cancer, mucosal cancer, thyroid cancer and salivary gland tumours. He has a particular expertise in Head and Neck microvascular reconstruction and has trained numerous international surgeons in these areas since commencing at Royal Prince Alfred in 2006.
