Johnny Warrens life-giving legacy

The Johnny Warren Jamberoo Classic (JWJC) cycle ride was originally held in 2003, as a segment by SBS sports presenter Michael Tomalaris for his show Cycling Central.

That first 100km ride from Loftus to Jamberoo had 25 riders and riders were met by John Warren at his family's popular Jamberoo Pub.

When John died of cancer in November of the following year, the ride was re-invented as the Johnny Warren Jamb eroo Classic- a tribute to the former Socceroo, Australian football ambassador and football commentator.
