  • The Sydney Cancer Centre is at the forefront of cancer care and research in Australia. We are based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, have facilities at Concord Hospital and provide outreach services to Dubbo Base Hospital.

    The Sydney Cancer Centre has the largest concentration of cancer specialists in NSW, and is nationally and internationally renowned for the treatment of melanoma, multiple myeloma, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, sarcoma, gynaecological cancer and for our clinical cancer research.

    The Sydney Cancer Centre is part of the Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) and works closely with the University of Sydney. Our patients and their families and carers also benefit from our comprehensive cancer support program. During 2013 the Sydney Cancer Centre and all its services will transition into the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse at RPA - a world-class cancer treatment and research facility providing integrated care to public and private patients.

    The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse at RPA will further integrate comprehensive clinical care, research, education, psychosocial care, wellness, cancer screening and volunteer programs creating opportunities for innovative discoveries, compassionate holistic care and better outcomes for people with cancer.

  • Support, care and understanding patients

    The Sydney Cancer Centre provides its patients and their family, friends and carers with a supportive team of experts from the fields of oncology, physical therapy to offer each patient exceptional care and advanced options for treatment.

    They are available to provide patients and family/carers with information, education, practical and emotional support, nutritional advice, rehabilitation and pain and symptom management. Everyone plays an active and collaborative role in developing and implementing a treatment plan tailored to each individual.

    The Sydney Cancer Centre has the largest concentration of cancer specialists in New South Wales with dedicated tumour programs.
